Barnstorm Creative is proud to work hand-in-hand with the Canadian Hockey League to develop the much anticipated Commemorative Opening Game Jerseys worn by the host team for the annual Mastercard Memorial Cup Tournament. The Game-worn, Barnstorm Branded Jerseys are auctioned off to raise funds for the Dominion Command Poppy Trust Fund. The Poppy funds are used to support veterans and their families, purchase hospital equipment, support cadet groups, and provide student bursaries.
Barnstorm’s involvement began in 2008 with the stoic Canadian soldier for the Kitchener Rangers, followed up by a classic Canadian Navy themed crest for the Rimouski Oceanique in 2009. In 2010, The retro logo for the Brandon Wheat Kings commemorating CFB Shilo was unveiled, again, to rave reviews. In Fact, The ‘08 Kitchener Rangers Logo was so well received, and the response so positive, that the team has adopted it as an official alternate Jersey during the 2010-2011 season. Since its inception in 2008, The Commemorative Jersey program has raised over $90,000 in donations for the Poppy Fund.
